Seems like the kind of day for a drive. It's miserable, the rain is constant, but I want to be in a car. Driving fast, around blind corners and around crazy hills. Scotland is the place for that. Up around Aberfoyle, through The Trossachs, listening to driving music. Dire Straits maybe.
That's how I think I would spend a perfect day.
As you all know, the first thing I would do if I had a time machine, wouldbe to go back in time and write more blogs. You do know that right?
Okay, now for some more fairy tales. I'm off to New York next month and I'm starting to plan. How much do I buy to wear whilst I'm there and how much room do I leave in my suitcase(s) for all the fabulous clothes and shoes (handbags, camera's, jewellery...) I'm going to buy whilst cruising the cool and fashionable streets of NY? Okay, so how do I have enough money left for clothes etc when I've probably spent it all on food and plenty of NY's finest cocktails???
One thing I do promise to do with this holiday, unlike my trip back to OZ in March, is actually write about it AND post pictures. I guess the trip back to OZ wasn't really a holiday as much as it was going back to mum and dad's for a few weeks. It just took 27 or so hours to get there...
For now, I'm looking forward to my dad coming over next week. It should be good as I'll see all the relatives here, that I could see at any other time of the year, but don't have to make all that much effort to do so and unlike christmas won't have to give the presents.
